Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It is difficult to know what a given statistic means. If the number of bicyclists who visit an ER goes up during 2009, does it mean that the "average" cyclist is getting injured more often, or does it reflect more people riding, and especially more NEW folks riding? Hard to know.

Hard to also determine how many of these accidents involve "cyclists" and how many are people riding bikes such as kids and MUP riders....Two completely different types of activity that are classified as one..

7 accidents so far this year...I'd bet the majority, if not all, occurred at intersections with the Sippo trail or O&E Towpath.
