My nomination is the Banana Saver. It's a plastic case to carry a banana. Anyone have something to top it?

I don't have anything better, but I have to say I LOVE THIS!! lol I saw it in one of your other tour pictures and thought it was brilliant. Where could one procure this fabulous device?

Two different companies make them.

www.bananasaver.com
www.bananaguard.com

The Banana Guard is available in several colors, including a glow in the dark scheme. I have the Banana Saver, which is US made and cheaper.

I can't top it, but I have tireflys on my bike. Seems somewhat child-like for someone in their early 40's but they are effective.

I think it was aimed more at Motorcyclists, but I once saw an ad for the "Easy Leaker" Basically a bit of hose to allow the said "leak" to be transported harmlessly to the ground behind one!

My wife bought me a light bar, for lack of a better description, that attaches to one of the spokes of your wheels. It is suppose to create a lighted message as it spins. I have not tried it out, because I can not bring myself to putting it on any of my bikes. :o

I've got to get me a banana hammock. :)
That would look so cool on the kitchen counter.

Right now the "stupid bike toy" on my bike is the computer that's on it. The instructions are seriously lacking and the controls are difficult to figure out.

I'd vote for this:

http://oleyvalley.net/cycling/bike%20bell.jpg

Not so much the bell, but the compass. Can't imagine I'd need one to find my way home, and if I did I'd hate to count on this one. But the price was right, bought 4 of them for grandkids bikes and aunt's walker.

Hey! That's the exact bell I got for the kiddo's bike! I'd say for adults, yeah - lame... but he LOVES it!

Depending on your level of consciousness, this is either ridiculous or a Godsend:

Around TO/GTA. You can find this saver at your local Dollar+ store, No Frills and other grocery stores. :thumb:

Not all bananas fit in it though, right?

Seriously, is your aunt going such distances with her walker that she needs a compass and bell?? What are you doing, dropping her off in a forest somewhere, and telling her to find her way home?? :roflmao2:

Perhaps as a back-up to the trail of breadcrumbs?

Breadcrumbs??? ...don't you mean bits of saltine crackers in little packages that were purloined from restaurants and stashed in her purse?

She doesn't use the compass either, but the bell is great for breaking into the food line at the home.

EXCUSE ME! In the Pacific NW this is not ridiculous but a serious and important piece of equipment! I will be reporting this to the nearest Starbucks and you will banished to a desert never again to feel the pleasant feel of moisture falling from the sky.

Duuuuuuuude... I moved to the Great Northwet from Sandy Eggo... I know what a desert is like. Living without rain (like this weekend... it poured on the the poor STPer's!) would be unjust desserts.

FWIW: I just got back from a walk to Starbucks. There's two within a couple blocks of me.

I saw something similar to the banana saver, the tomato saver which is exactly the same thing except for your tomatoes. It was at the grocery store right next to the banana slicer.

The folks who make the Banana Guard also make the Froot Guard, which looks like a plastic tomato.

What makes this toy so stupid is the fact that I saw the picture and thought: "I really want one of those!"
