I know, I am a barbarian.......but is there any problem with this? (besides environmental)
Grease just seems to drip off effortlessly, and my chain and cassette are always shiney :D
Plus, it's cheap and I have a lot of it.

Brake cleaner works fine ... just remember all the usual caveats about well-ventilated work space, avoiding painted surfaces, etc., etc.

It's much easier than using those plastic chain cleaners.
Everything just drips off..........

Brake cleaner is great, just avoid open flames with it as well.
WAtch out for plastic items too. Melted a fender and dork disc on one of mine once
