Get a sticker from your local upgrade rep, or print off an authorization to ride form from usacycling.

How do you request a sticker? It would be nice to not have to keep printing these authorizations.

In TX, we request upgrades through our local upgrade official at www.txbra.org (http://www.txbra.org). They send you a sticker for 5->4 and 4->3, or have you mail in your license for 3->2 and 2->1. Even with the mail-back, my 2 upgrade only took 4 days.

My 5>4 upgrade took 2 weeks, and I didn't get a darn sticker. :(

My district president approved my upgrade and sent me my sticker. I would email your district president and ask for one.
