Awhile back i posted a question about adding a water bottle w/o a brazeon since my bike has none. I know some of the track bikes dont either. anyhow, i found this web page which seems really informative on the subject:

I'm leaning towards the twofish quick cage, anybody ever try one of these?

I have a 2 fish and it's ok. It get the job done but wiggles and woobles a bit and sometimes ends up on the wrong side of your frame.

I've found that I don't really ever use it though. Although if I were riding for a whole afternoon I would, I suppose. For what it's worth.

I have no problems with hose clamps, wrapped a couple layers of duct tape around the frame so they won't scratch, you could also use an old piece of hose under each clamp, if yuo think they look unsightly you could put some heat shrink tubing around them, I have also seen fancy anodized hoze clamps, but I just get the regular ones for 15cents and they do the job well and I have no problem with the bottle cage shifting.

I really like the looks of the Minoura QB 90. I think I'm a bit anit-velcro as far as making things stay somewhere without jiggling. It looks like the QB90 would be quick, solid, and easily removable. Of course it has to be the appropriate size for the tube you plan to put it on, but it's $9 and I think it'll be a hell of a lot more solid than the velcro job.

I've got an old simplex water bottle cage on one of my PX's that is a handlebar mount cage. Similar to the minoras, I think. I like it quite a bit, but then, I like old retro garbage, so I am biased.
