I need a timeline of doping technology. I thought Lemond was taken down by blood doping, not EPO. It has the same effect, and was legal for a while.
Howzit, calling Howzit,.................ah, never mind. Here's the link he likes posting:

it's not comprehensive but to my eye, I don't see any discrepencies. I'm sure that if you see any errors the good folks at wiki will be more than happy to make corrections.

It wasn't a stupid question. It was a rhetorical one. The answer being the advent of EPO. When LeMond was on the side of the road in '94 he was dejected because it was apparent he couldn't keep up for whatever reason and he still wanted to race competitively as a professional.
He was only 33 years old.
Sometimes I think that Lemonds success in the TDF and Europe triggered a more modern and systematic doping scheme among many of the European teams. And it just happened to coinside with an explosion of more modern drugs and methods. There has probably been doping of some form or another as long as the TDF has been in existence. But when Lemond started dominating the TDF he was the first American to do so as I recall. This was in a sport where Americans had won few races in hundreds of years. It was a challenge for the European teams to better Lemonds performance at all costs. And in Europe there were probably a lot of money interests riding on the success of popular European racers since cycling was arguably a bigger industry in Europe than in America at that time. And probably still is.

I think F1 racing / and car racing in general dominates Europe.

Why is it that there are some posters that are allowed to continually post messages calling other people out? For example, these users continually pull posts from the bottom of the pile to the top for the sole sake of calling someone out as was posted earlier, "******, calling ******,.................ah, never mind. "
And then there was Reid Rothchild who complained that users were calling him names such as "troll, idiot, moron, etc". In fact, I went over his posts. I think he was evicted because a moderator thought he was insulting someone, when in fact he was defending himself from insult using the words, "troll" and "idiot" not to describe another poster, but to describe the poster calling him these names. Am I wrong?
I understand that there is a lot of support for our fellow American, Lance Armstrong, in the Tour this year, but it seems to me that the people supporting him are getting favorable treatment. I have not a problem with certain posters posting a counterargument, or disagreement with a message content, but I wonder why these users continually are allowed to post insults, namecalling, etc..

At least in my case. And that is the one you're mentioning. I wasn't "calling out Howzit" in a derogatory manner. The best answer to a third partie's question was in fact a wiki lind that Howzit had posted in a couple other threads. As much as he and I may disagree on some issues I am not beyond giving credit where credit is do. At that time I had been questioning Howzit's intentions with regard to looking for excuses to post that link and within short time there was a legit reason to do just that. So, I was attempting to make a funny, whilst posting a link that I had not hours early complained about Howzit interjecting into every thread he was on. It was in fact, an effort to point out to Howzit that I recognized him as the origin of my knowledge with regard to that link. Sorry, if you misconstrued it to in some way be an attack on the guy.
