Big difference?? Worth the extra money??

"Jamis sticks with their 7005 double butted aluminum frame, but adds some shape to the top tube to make shouldering the bike a little more comfortable. The stiff aluminum ride is mellowed out by the carbon seat stays, and Jamis throws in their own full carbon fork on the front end. The tight wheelbase makes for quick cornering and fast accelerations.

The drive train is pretty solid for the $1450 price tag. Shimano 105 takes care of your STI levers and derailleurs. I would have loved to see the them go with some outboard bearings to add some stiffness for improved power transfer, but instead they go with an FSA standard bottom bracket and Vero compact crankset.

Some key features that I'm very drawn to are the Ritchey components, Selle San Marco saddle, and the tough Alex rims laced up to DT spokes. This bike is easily ready to race right out of the box, but since the cross season is a long ways out, be sure to make good use of the front and rear fender eyelets for some long Spring training rides."
