I care about you, Canada. You have great things like lakes with massive scary holes in them and a good French-language music scene, and mounties!

Out of curiosity, to the folks of ON... why do you sell milk in plastic bags? My wife is from Toronto and she does not know.

We had those for a while when I was a kid - then they just went away.
I have no idea why they came (or went). They sold special plastic jugs that the bags fit in though....

Thanks! Garbage is a big issue in Toronto. I guess it makes sense since it's easier to trash or re-cycle. I will let the wife know :)

According to Wikipedia, highest point in Texas is 8,749', highest point in Ontario is 2,270', so Texas is 3.85 times as tall. So there.

Right on!! Remember the Alamo though.. just sayin'. Oh wait, we did play that in 1812. Kicked the Yankee asses all the way back to Washington.
I have been all over Texas and I could live just about anywhere there. In fact I did live in Plano for a few years. My only exception would be Houston.. Nice people but DA#* that humidity kills me! Sucks the life right out of you.
All of Texas is usable. Ontario, not so much. Lonestar and Labatts:roflmao2::twitchy:

Yea Canada! You have to be cool to prop your opponent in a "vs." thread.
BTW, it's REALLLY fricken humid here.
Ontario may be larger in terms of land (dubious value) and fresh water (certifiable value) than Texas but that's about it.
I know this is a fun thread, but we're so mixed up in 'human rights', 'multicultural rights', 'social justice' etc that the economic engine that was Ontario in the 50's, 60's and 70's is becoming a distant memory. We're now a "have not" province under the federal equalization formula (bet you don't have that in the US where wealthy states share income with 'poorer' states... ;) ) so we receive transfers from other provinces.
On the flip side, we do have out-of-this-world scenic vistas, outstanding bike country, 99 cent iTunes, and strong beer. :thumb:

Not really. Alcohol content is measured by volume here. 5% ABV = 4% ABW

Okay, but according to Wiki: Another way of specifying the amount of alcohol is alcoholic proof, which is twice the alcohol-by-volume number.[8]
In the United States, a few states regulate and tax alcoholic beverages according to alcohol by weight (ABW), expressed as a percentage of total mass.[9] Some brewers print the ABW (rather than the ABV) on beer containers, particularly on low-point versions of popular domestic beer brands.
At relatively low ABV, the alcohol percentage by weight is about 4/5 of the ABV (e.g., 3.2% ABW is equivalent to 4.0% ABV).[10] However, because of the miscibility of alcohol and water, the conversion factor is not constant but rather depends upon the concentration of alcohol. 100% ABW, of course, is equivalent to 100% ABV. If that supports or refutes the post, I'm not sure.
But anecdotally (sp?) speaking, as a canadian sailor drinking plenty of suds south of the 48th in the mid 80's, my buddies and I could handle literally dozens more Bud than the equivalent amount of Keiths or Moosehead. :thumb:

Well, the only thing I could offer up is that I think some U.S. states have allowable limits as to how much alcohol content can be in their beer, and beers are brewed to those limits depending on where it's being shipped to. You may have been in one of those places that had the watered down stuff. :)
