I have some time off this week and next, so I decided I was going to allocate some extra to my bike. I left home thtis morning just before noon with the intention of not worrying about speed, but getting extra miles under the saddle. By time it was said and done I rode 37 miles even, in 2:44. Past 3 lakes, through 4 different towns, and some beautiful back roads. I am capable of sustaining a good pace on the flats. But even the little highway overpasses that count as hills around here still kill me. I'm a happy fat guy!
