Hi, I ran over some glass with a new set of road tires causing a couple of cuts that look like flaps. Anyone know of a glue on the market they can be repaired with? The glass didn't go through the tire so maybe it's worth fixing? any suggestion appreciated.. thanks!

I have used a product callled "GOOP". It works really well in slices. I leave the tire pumped, put a dab in the slice, deflate the tire and wipe off any excess. You may feel the repair for a few rides, but usually it will smooth itself out. I hope this helps!

i did the same thing to my brand new veloflex tires the day i bought them...ive just been riding them and still no issues after a 1000km or so. so if they are really big and you are know to get flats often then i would fix them...but if they are just little slices then i wouldnt worry too much about them. what i did was i took some chalk and marked their edges and monitered if they were getting bigger or staying the same...nothing has changed. ive added one or two more since and still no issues

Superglue is actually better than Goop for bicycle tires.

Thanks for the input! Superglue sounds good, don't know much about Goop. I just didn't like the idea of a new tire not being perfect. I'm trying to keep the rubber side down as they say; crashing hurts too bad. thanks again!
