Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have just bought a walmart exclusive stingray version with the front fender and the folding highway pegs. I was thinking about making it more chopper authentic and/or adding a side car to carry my kids. Anyone have any experience in modding these bikes?

Define "chopper authentic". Are you putting a knucklehead in it or what?

Now there's an idea I hadn't considered... I was wondering if there were ways to give the rider an even more laid back position - like a crank forward or nearly recumbent posture without destroying the handling. I haven't even picked the bike up or been able to test ride it yet.

check any of the chopper bike forums or schwinn forums. they make a good base for custom ideas so a lot of people have used them. this was the first stretch i'd seen, and it's pretty straitforward too

edit 'cause i just looked at the link and the first pics are gone, but keep going and one of the later posts has some.
