Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Is this the right room for this question?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was wondering, what forum would information about group activities/events be in - supposing there were any, of course
and I guess I should pull the horse from around the back of the cart and ask are there ever any "forum events", or even just forum people meeting up for group rides etc?

I suppose the forum most associated with the type of event would be the correct forum. That said, there is also a Big Rides and Riding Partners Forum (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=176)

Some of us do get together for rides with one another. They aren't really organised events although some will be at events organised by a third party. The logistics are usually handled in an ad-hoc manner however.

Thank you - so what you're saying is, each forum does it's own thing? - I think I get it - I hadn't seen anything so I thought maybe there was an "event" section that I wasn't finding - I'll just keep up on the categories I fit into then and maybe something I can attend will pop up

Ah, see - I clicked on that link and got it, but when I just open bike forums I don't get that forum on my list - that could have something to do with it :-)

It's a sub-forum in General Discussion (I think). Click on that forum and it should appear on the list.
