Hello everybody! My name is Jordan. I've been riding for just over a year off and on...but mostly off. I work in law enforcement. Since I've been out of the academy and until recently I've worked 2nd shift. It seemed like I didn't have any time to do much of anything. Now I work night shift and it works out great for me to come in after work at about 7:30am and go for a bike ride. So that's what I've been doing.

I need to lose quite a bit of weight. My doctor told me that I have a really large frame and that I need to get my weight down to about 230; I'll have to lose about 45lbs for that. I'm 5' 11" so I could weigh less, but the doc said I shouldn't go below 200-210 based on the size of my frame. So I'm looking to lose weight and get in better shape for my job. I ride a Fuji Newest 3.0 and my normal bike ride is 15 miles...I can do it in 60-80 minutes.

I'm really looking forward to becoming a part of this site...it looks great!

Welcome, I lost 40 lbs opening a restaurant, lots of walking and snacking instead of 3 square meals, I am 6' 220 (I gained back from where I was) but exercise and more smaller meals works, I now am back to sitting 10 hrs a day (sold restaurant) doing web design so I walk or bike with my wife every morning. Good luck!

Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello to the Atlanta area folks in the Atlanta/Decatur thread (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=234331).
And when your Fuji needs service or when you need cycling stuff, stop by the shop I work at, Intown Bicycles (http://www.intownbicycles.com).
