Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I have been waiting for this for a couple years. Wanna know how long? They stopped talking my calls

Anyway, a couple years after they said it would be a couple months... it looks like it MIGHT finally be here.

This one is a bike computer that will also estimate watts on the trainer. That will require an adjustment on my part. A computer helps on tour, but afterwards I take everything off the bike so it will be lighter. That includes the computer. Oh well, I'll live.

I like that it does alt and gradient. Less happy with temp ( it will be depressingly wrong on a hot day when exposed to the sun) and the oil change reminder...
Eventually computers will weigh 2 grams but you'll need to carry a 5 pound manual with you to actually use it...

Well, good, the old Kinetic "I measure watts" sure is a piece of junk. I've had two and they both broke. Even with this new one, I'm not sure I see the point. A Garmin is better for on the bike, and when you're on the trainer, all you really need is cadence and power. The Garmin will still do cadence and power is a simple look up table from speed, which the Garmin will also still measure with the wheel sensor. This seems late and irrelevant to me....

Let me introduce myself... I am late.

I suppose I am also irrelevant, but let's not go there...

If I had a Garmin, or a Powertap or.... it would be irrelevant to me. I don't. I do want
the watts function for the trainer. And I didn't bother getting the first one because it didn't seem worth bothering with.

But I think I will get this one. Congrats on getting the Garmin. When the price comes down, I'll consider it.
