+1 on Sloughs hard to describe....other than when I was rebuilding my Miyata he had a Ultegra 600 headset part that I needed in one of the various junk drawers

Shaw's at Newhall and Bascom/Washington. If you like fish, when you come out of Slough's go across the street to the Race St Fish Market.

There is this small Bike Shop near down town San Jose. They are more tailored to every day commuters and whatenot. Really kool shop.
For "regular" bike stuff I really like Calmar Bicycles in Santa Clara.
