For constant updates, that app looks to be the way to go. ESPN's app and mobile site both don't have any Tour data, and versus.com's Flash-based page doesn't run on iPhone.
A free alternative would be www.iTourdeFrance.com which opens as a web app. Add it as a bookmark to the home screen.
