Dropped into the small chain ring today and the chain slipped inside between the crank and BB. Took a 1/4 turn before I realized (i'm dumb that way)..
This is what I got.
Need a new 85.00 chain and a 300 dollar tool.
Anyone want this for a necklace or wallet chain? I'll clean it up too!!

I've re-bent 9 sp chains that looked like that multiple times. You'll need some combination of a bench vise, large pliers, vice grips, large crescent wrench, and some finesse. Since the 11 sp chains is a lot thinner I don't know if this will work but it's worth a try. What have you got to lose?

Another dropped chain and loss of control resulting in some tarmac surfing maybe? I wouldn't risk it.

what is a chain keeper? I know pbk, et al. but since its gonna go to my not so LBS that's the price I'll end up paying. I could try to re bend but it looks way more foooked than in the pic.
Ha! small chain ring..who does use that anyway? I saw it there and thought I paid for all these gears, might as well try them..serves me right.
