Title pretty much says all. One of the local fellows came by with a Super Course equipped with a Zeus crankset and the original 16mm crankarm bolts. I tried a thin-wall 16mil pipe socket to no avail.

Am I stuck milling down a 16mm socket down to a thin-wall?

that's what I did, worked fine. Sometimes a 5/8" will fit 16mm, but unless you can test it on a loose (identical) bolt, you'll only know after you grind it down.

Zeus made a crankbolt spanner (I've got one) but very rare. You'll have to thin a socket, the Stronglight 16 mm crankbolt spanner or the obsolete Park 14/15/16 mm crankbolt spanner won't fit.
