Hey all. Just getting back in to cycling. I have a windows mobile 6.1 smart phone with gps and i'm trying to find a good low cost (free would be nice :thumb:) gps program that will do the following things:

Map my route either against google maps or against a previously stored mapset including areas where there are no roads
measure instantaneous and average speed
measure point a to b and overall distance
measure current and total altitude changes preferably divided in to ascents and descents

I know I could buy a cycle specific garmin or something that would have those features, but I already have a gps, i just need the software.

So, anybody got any suggestions?

Oh, and I just got to check 'cycle across the Golden Gate Bridge' off of my bucket list today :ride:

check out my pictures on the other topic about "normal GPS"

in short, yes you can do it, is quite simple.

i'm using TomTom, also google maps, and GPSmeter which also uses google maps

got like 4 applications that are perfect for biking.

there is also this cycling computer, which is pretty good, but i mostly use the GPS based ones.

To the best of my knowledge Garmin software does not measure elevation changes, do TomTom or GPSmeter?
