I was riding along a fairly major road that I normally stay away from, but I was on a part where bikes are common and the traffic is slow. Regardless, there is a slightly narrow part that has a curve in it. As I was going around the curve a large pick-up passed me, but the pick-up was pulling a big trailer. In the curve, I was just riding thinking which of two ways I was going to go home when I got to the up-coming intersection when all of a sudden, I was thrown to the sidewalk. I’m totally fine. I can’t really say the same for my rear wheel (I posted a question the other day about what to do with my slightly trashed wheel. The just ride it option is no longer an option). I was just sitting on the sidewalk thinking “How the hell did I end up here?” A bystander told me what happened. My rear wheel got pinned to the curb by the trailer. F***er didn’t stop. Minus everything, it was pretty funny.

Good times.

Glad to hear that it was only your rear wheel and not something that isn't so easily replaced, like your head.

did this happen after the keg-erator party you had the other night? :) glad to see you're ok though.

No, it was before the party. However that was a very valid question. If you get thirsty just walk/ride around the corner. Now the beer is always flowing on Manigault.

Getting overtaken from behind by a car is supposed to be one of the least statistically likely ways to get hit. He had to have known he hit you, maybe he was riding around doing that sort of **** on purpose. Or he's an opportunistic bike hater. Would make me wonder.
