Foo - F1 Foo: Is this season's result proof McLaren won last year because they cheated?

I can't help but wonder why McLaren has fallen off so hard this season. Makes me think the only reason for last years WDC was because they had Ferrari's secret info.

Ferrari sucks. Ferrari has sucked since Schumacher's last couple seasons. Ferrari was on top, then they sucked. Was this proof that Ferrari was cheating?
BTW, I don't follow auto racing anymore. :P
Kimi did win a WDC after Shummi. McClaren is a back marker this year, never thought they'd win a WDC, never thought they'd fall so far one year later.
I think the real fluke is Button. Where the hell was he all these years?

Driving crappy chassis for BAR.

Being a Ferarri fan I wouldn't go so far as to say 'they suck' but I will say that I think that Schumacher/Brawn/Todt made an incredible team that Frearri has not been able to duplicate this year.
When Kimi was at McLaren he seemed to be much more aggressive and I just don't know if he still has that 'fire-in-the-belly'. Personally I wouldn't mind if Kimi left.
As for Massa, in interviews he seems to be a little less high strung than in the past and today's cockpit shots seemed to show a smoothness that I haven't seen since Michael. I'm not comparing the two drivers overall but Michael did seem to be a smooth driver without a lot of jerky steering wheel inputs.
Some posters are wondering if Ferrari are concentrating on their car for next year as opposed to putting all their effort into this year's car.
Add to the mix, next year might be as different as this year. No refueling. No tire warmers. Probably revised aero packages. Bridgestone will have to reformulate due to the added fuel weight. KERS may be gone and spending limits may be imposed.
Isn't uninformed speculation wonderful?

No, being out of podium, like he was today.

Complete redesign years, like this one, frequently result in teams all over the place and finishing outside where we would normally expect them.

+1. Brawn weren't even using KERS, were they?
I was really pulling for Button to continue his streak since he used to drive for Honda.
As far as Hamilton goes, if there's any guessing about whether he's a good driver, go see how well he did on BBC's Top Gear, driving their Reasonably Priced Car on a wet, oily track and nearly getting the best time among other F1 drivers.

The bottom line is that they are all better drivers than any of us, but some are even better than others.
I just read that Sebastian Bourdais(sp) may be gone............
