I am in the process of looking for a saddle to replace the original P.O.S. that came on my Presidio which is a Bontrager Race. The width is pretty decent at 152mm. I was just measured at a LBS on that Bontrager seat you sit on. He said it was at 154mm. Any good quality seats you recommend? I was looking at a Selle Italia Max Flite Genuine Gel, Brooks B17/Team Pro/Swallow, San Marco Rolls/Regal, etc. Any input would help. I'm 6' 300lbs. Hope being an uberclyde doesn't put me out of the running for a Brooks with it being pure leather and all.

Zero,

It's pretty much impossible to do more than make a WAG about what saddle might work for you at this point other than to say that a narrow model is probably not gonna be in the running...

Your usual riding position (upright, aero-tuck, or anything in-between) will have as much to do with choosing the right saddle as your sit-bone width. What do you ride, and how are you positioned on the bike? Let us know those things and we can toss a few guesses your way.

IMO, a Brooks saddle should have no problem supporting you - they are very solid. I'm almost 200, and my B17 hardly deflects as I plant myself on it. The hardware on all their models is top-notch, and the leather is very thick.

You may want to post this question over in the Clyde/Athena forum (those folks are awesome) and/or Commuting ( another good bunch). Those forums get more traffic than this relatively lonely outpost of the BF universe.
