Tandem Cycling - Video of our ride today

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

We could only wish for terrain like that around here. Reminded me of our Tahoe ride.
Stoker and I have been playing with the camera stuff a couple of times. Taking tandem road ride footage here so far has been the equivalent to prepping for a nap.
While not a road ride, this was a portion of the ride for us on Sunday 7.12.

uspspro,
What camera were you using? Where did you shoot the video - looks like a great downhill: grade and top speed?

These are just the usual local roads ;)
We started the ride from our house.
We used the GoPro Hero wide angle, mounted on the handlebar.
The roads shown are:
- Skyline heading south from the top of Kings Mountain to the 35/84 junction (around Sky Londa).
- East 84 heading eastbound from Sky Londa to Woodside.
The first is less technical, not super steep.. ranges from 4%-9%.
The second is much more technical with a couple hairpins, etc... and ranges from 5%-11%

Very cool, Marco.
We're thinking of getting a camera to use at the stage race next month. Our friends want to see what a tandem crit looks like...so do I -- preferably before I do one. ;)

If it comes down to a bunch sprint, it will probably look like a stampede :D
