Hello, my name is Aaron and currently I am living in Belmopan, Belize. I started riding about 5 years ago when my truck broke down and it was easier and cheaper for me to get a bike rather than fixing my truck at the time. I started out on a mountain bike, a Fuji and I loved it… But then I got the erg to pick up a road bike while I was living in the DC area and I picked up a Dawes, it wasn’t the greatest bike ever but it got me around and into these whole biking phenomena… Now, I have moved to Belmopan Belize because my wife is a diplomat and this is where we got assigned and cycling seems to be rather big here so I decided to get a bit more serious. So I just built a new road bike, it’s a Motobecane frame with a carbon fork and handlebars, and mostly Shimano parts that weighs about 7150 grams! If you can’t tell I’m really excited about this, especially since I built it myself and saved a TON of money, now I have some time to get a few miles on it before my triathlon that’s here at the end of August, and then it’s on to a road race. Now competition is in my blood there is no denying that, I wrestled my whole life and I just love to compete no matter what the sport is, for instance just when I got done with wrestling in college I randomly decided that I wanted to run a marathon, so I did and I don’t think that I did too bad. I finished in the top twenty in my age group and finished it in just over four hours… Now, I know that I’m not fast enough to jump into some serious races, that I’ve seen, but the competition that is here isn’t that fast either; so I figured that this would be a perfect place for me to get started. … I’m always looking for training tips, advice, anything that can help me improve and expand my knowledge about this sport…

Welcome to the forums. Sounds like you really know your stuff. My brother got into racing after he got a helmet cam. Then a friend suggested clipless pedals. Of course, next came a new racing bike and camelpack, etc.

It could be worse... but if you have it constantly like I do then you tend to think it gets nasty, on the other hand their stout isn’t bad... although it's a sad state of affairs when you start to crave even a crappy beer like Schlitz or PBR... LMAO!!!

A constant beer flow is a good thing in my book, unless it's that evil Guinness stuff! I think that is why my son buys it, so I won't drink it!

It's all good! If you think the Guinness is bad in the states you should taste it here!... And I actually like Guiness!.. But I just can't bring myself to have it here again!
