Well I just finished this ride this weekend. If you do not know what it is, it is a annual ride from Seattle to Portland that can be done in one or two days and the ride is 200 miles. This is my first time, I have never rode 100 miles before and I did it in 2 days. The most that I have done was 72 miles which was the Livestrong ride in Seattle on June 21st.
I can not believe that I was able to do it. It was not as hard as I though it was going to be. It took me a total of 14 hours of riding, which is not real fast but being that I am a clyde, I do not think that it is that bad.
I was pretty worried about the second day, but I felt great except the last 30 miles, I was getting tired and my but started to feel a little tender the last hour. Nothing that I could not handle though.
I was pretty worried about the distance, but going my own pace and talking with others on the ride, the time went by fast. To give me an ego boost, I was not the slowest person out there, but there were people doing it on a single speed. I started the ride about 5:30 am on Saturday and got to the mid point about 1:30pm (my first 100 miles). The first day was hot, around 90 degrees where as the second day it was 62. We had rain on the second day with hail with lighting and thunder storms. Luckily that was only for about an hour and I had some warm cloths. I can tell you, I felt strong on the second day because it was so much cooler.
Sorry that I do not have any pictures but it was sure a fun ride and I am still in disbelief that I was able to accomplish the ride. I will do this next year and my wife said that she would do it with me.

PS. I started riding again at the beginning of the year, being off the bike for 4 years. Riding my first 5 miles this year was very, let me repeat, very hard.....
