Two separate, deliberate attacks on Milwaukee Police officers.
Two Milwaukee police officers who were patrolling on bicycles this afternoon were injured in separate incidents when they were struck by vehicles, Assistant Chief James Harpole said.
Neither officer's injuries are life-threatening, Harpole said. (http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/50682772.html)

I hope they find the drivers. In the first incident, if he did that out here the vehicle would be easy to find due to all the bullet holes.

Well you know what they say, perfect way to get away with murder is to put someone on a bike then run him over and claim he swerved in front of you.
Cops let so many drivers get away with doing that to cyclists, this is probably some form of karma that they are on the recieving end now.

Wow, the vehicles were found so soon and the drivers are being sought instead of the cyclists being blamed for just being there.
Funny how different the outcome is when it's a cop on the receiving end, instead of some annonymous schmuck like me.

The drivers are probably marked men and/or women now. I hope that some other cops stop them and have a cause to "restrain" them for "assault" or "resisting arrest." It would be a GREAT thing if drivers got the notion that f&*^ing with a bicyclist got you the Rodney King treatment.

I hope the drivers' are thrown in jail for assault on a police officer.

Given that multiple cops are present when the incidents occur, I'm really not that surprised.

I could care less how they choose to punish these particular drivers; they'll still probably do absolutely nothing as usual for incidents involving all us normal non-cop cyclists, and thats what matters in the long run...

In both these cases, it was irrelevant the officers were on bikes. When officers approached, the miscreants used motor vehicles as weapons.
