Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Araya bicycles

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You should post a picture
Yes pics, plus the model name, a component list and serial number would help.
I'll also move this over to Appraisals.

Yeah, I've got one..mid seventies I think. I love it, it is my daily driver so it is not all that clean but it will do. I couldn't quite get the serial number..I would have to do a little degreasing for that.
Nice lugs and drop outs, original paint has stood up well. A joy to ride, has the nice "alive" feel a steel bike can have. Oddly enough, I am the original owner to boot. Sadly, I am starting to realize this bike has always been a smidge too big for me.

Built with Reynolds instead of Tange or Ishiwata - very interesting.

I can see how you would think that from the photos but that sticker, when seen in it entirety, says "built with Araya 631 fine tubing" a blatent attempt to give the Reynolds look to the frame sticker.

Sorry I took so long to post the images. But i have been looking for info as to what year and the value of the bike theres limited info of Araya on the web. I picked it up for $10 from an old man. Also the sticker on the bottom says Made with Araya steel tubing.
The best/easiest way to determine year on this bike is to look up the component codes. All the major components have codes on them. Go to the vintage Trek site for details.
