Hi;

I'm hoping some Suntour expert out there can help me locate a Cage tension spring for a VGT-Luxe RD..

This particular derailleur is just to nice to sent to the parts pasture!

Are you talking about the spring in the upper jockey wheel? If so, that's the only really bad spot in what was otherwise a very nice design. You might check ebay for a junked derailleur with a good spring. I've never seen them, the spring that is, sold separately.

Do you know if the tension spring from other SunTour derailleurs would work (I have some in my parts box)? Would you know the dimensions of the original spring?

Hey guys,

I measured the spring length compressed (wish I had a caliper) and I got 19-20mm. I tried a Vx spring and it was close but not quite the same.

I measured the spring from a Suntour Honor RD and it was only 16mm compressed.
