Northern California - Trek 5200 Stolen

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Sorry if this is not the right place to post this. But my wife's bike was stolen from our Fremont home because I forgot to close the garage door last night. Her bike was a Trek 5200. It has 54cm frame and Ultegra drivetrain. My wife also changed the saddle to a woman friendly one. It's the same model that Lance Armstrong used in USPS team. So it has USPS logo on it. I thought it would be great if our fellow members could keep an eye out when they're riding, surfing Craigslist, etc.
My wife was so sad staring at the empty bike stand...she had this bike for 9 years and still ride like a charm...she lost 4 teeth on it but still love it.
The bike's serial number is WTUJ008434. If you came across this bike, please PM me. Thanks!
a couple places where you might look is craigslist, ebay, and swap meets. i know they have big ones in San Jose and I am guessing in freemont also. Also, if you haven't done so, report it to the police. They probably are not going to do anything, but at very least you will have it on record and you can take that to your insurance and hopefully get something back for it. I do not see why it would not be covered under homeowners insurance.
Oakland Flea Market is also another good place to start.
Sorry about the bike, hopefully it turns up.
I reported it to police. They are nice enough to call me back asking for the serial number. I'm also monitoring Craigslist and eBay. Will check out SJFM and the Oakland one.

I hope you get it back. Even if you do, your wife has some serious "leverage" on you now. I know the USPS stickers, but what is the background frame color?

Oh man, that is awful news. I had the same frame till last june (when I drove it into my garage on the rack). Good luck.
The background color is blue, with RED TREK logo and USPS logo. It also has some white accent. You can see a picture here (http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m261/beyond-the-sea/Trek5200_small.jpg).

Dude, you should just go buy her a new bike, ASAP! She is never going to let you forget this!
I also have the same bike but 56cm. I still commute on it daily. I love that bike.
