Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Traitor bikes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Does anybody own one of these bikes or know anyone that does? Already searched the forums to no avail. Like the idea that it's kind of a small company. Don't like the asia thing, but then again, what mass produced frames aren't made in asia any more??

One of the local LBS's (GHY Bikes) carries all their stuff. They ride them themselves, and speak pretty highly of their stuff. I have no idea though.

I see a couple around town because they're located near me. Nice looking, distinct. Never actually ridden one or talked to anyone who has though.
yeah i've seen a few of them, including that pbr one, in person. they look nice, but i haven't ever ridden one.
also, that ringleader very clearly states:
Frame Production: Taiwan
Taiwan is not bad. At least not China.. There's quite a few skilled makers in Taiwan. That new Leader track frame is also handmade in Taiwan.
I personally don't think that just because it's in Asia, it's mass produced (tho most of them are). And mass produced in asia vs. usa doesn't necessarily means it's more cheaply made.

Can't they take a picture that doesn't have a masterlink in the chain?
Why do I care? Guess I don't... but hey, it's a nice photo.

Also, I like the looks of their stuff, but haven't seen any of it in person. Would try, if I needed brand new stuff, which I never do.

Seems like an overpriced build to me.
Its from the same company who makes transition MTB bikes which are generally well regarded from what I have seen

While the PBR bike seems expensive (for what it is), the Luggernaut does seem more fairly priced.
BTW: Soma bikes are produced in Taiwan and are pretty well made.
