While watching Stage 10 I noticed that the riders were urinating just about everywhere. At one point there was a rider on the left of the peloton urinating off his bike as they approach a French couple taking pictures on the left shoulder. Was pissing in front of every camera possible another way for the riders to protest the radio ban?

It's not a protest. It's normal.

Oh, we're sorry, did you want marble bathrooms with attendants for 180 riders on every roadside in friggin France and Spain for 2,000+ miles? We'll be sure to install those by next year.

What would really be interesting is seeing how the women deal with this in big stage races.

I think the relaxed pace made for relaxed bladders, there were no worries of getting dropped so they relaxed their "natural break" regimen.

I noticed one guy twisting sideways sitting up in preparation to take a piss just before they cut to a different camera. Never seen that before, I think usually they can predict when the nature breaks are going to happen and go to a camera showing something else. Yesterday was less predictable because of the relatively slow pace.

I think a bunch of PortaPotties would have been adequate.

Stage 10 put me to sleep. I did not notice anything.

I've been thinking about this a bit, and I think it could be an additional revenue stream, so to speak.

Establish PortaPotties at critical spots. Have advertising displayed on them for Flomax: "When speed of stream really really matters....". I'm saying it could generate big bucks.

Do the guys in a breakaway stop to pee? It seems like they'd get caught. Do they coordinate their pee-breaks with the peloton? Inquiring minds want to know.
