Was on my ride into work this morning, and started passing riders going in the opposite direction about halfway in...ended up passing at least 50 riders, the biggest group being made up of about half that but most were in clusters of three or four.

Just wondering what the ride was -- a leg in a longer tour, or an organized local ride? Where did you all start from this morning?Was tempted to turn around and join you!

And, upon seeing you all in safety vests, I'm definitely going to buy at least some brighter jerseys (was wearing black on a foggy morning -- but at least I had on a bright green backpack and a couple blinkies).

it was a charity thing if it's the one i'm thinking of. 500 miles or something. the owego pennysaver had something on the front page about it last week. there was a specialized tent set up at the treadway when i drove through and there had to be no less than 100 people hanging around the lot.
