Hello!

Who am I? Bean from Winnipeg. Currently 37, which means I constantly get to use the "I'm not old, I'm 37!" line from The Holy Grail.

In the past, I've owned a few department store specials when I was young, then I fell in love with a '94 Klein Fervor (still the best paint job I've ever seen.. I still have the frame) that was hanging in my local bike shop, a Klein Mantra, and currently a Trek 8000, which has reached the end of its lifetime.

I'm actually heading out today to look for a new bike, provided the weather holds out. Hard to test ride bikes when it's raining out. The shop owner doesn't like it when they get dirty. :D

Welcome to the forum. What kind of bike are you looking to get?

I ended up purchasing an '08 Giant Trance X2.

I test rode a few bikes, and liked how it felt the most (even with the basic test ride setup), and with it being an '08 (nice discount) I was able to stay within my budget, but get better componentry and shocks than most (all?) '09 bikes in the same price range.

Don't have it at home yet, but I don't get another day off until Monday, anyway.

Haha! Thank you for giving me another milestone to look forward to after I hit 21.

Oh, and welcome (:.

And in a couple of years when I hit 55, I can use the line too, but it will be in hexadecimal. ;)
