I upgraded over the winter and have been experiencing a sore lower back this year, especially on hilly rides. The Ultegra hoods are flatter and longer than the 105 I replaced. The Fizik saddle is longer and flatter than the Specialized it replaced. Seems I am more stretched out on this new set up. I raised the saddle to compensate for it bing thinner , but that also moves the saddle back as it goes up. So I slid forward to compensate. I think I may need a shorter stem now to lessen the reach to the bars. I never thought upgrading would mean so many other adjustments to be comfortable. Argh!
