My mtb has a 140mm axle, need to speak to a bike expert, prefer local. I have advanced questions concerning wide spaced rear tri and cogset size.

I live in Victoria, B.C Canada.

Thanks..

These guys are very local for you, but try www.bikefriday.com. They make tandems, recumbents and folding bikes. Good luck.

Call or send an Email to Dennis Bushnell down in Auburn, Washington (just a little south of Seattle):

Phone: 253-826-2233
E-mail: bushcycles@aol.com

I have known Dennis since '98 and have no qualms about recommending his services and tandems.
You can read a little bit about Dennis here, but it is in no way representative of his breadth and depth of experience: http://www.sandsmachine.com/bp_bushn.htm

Rodriguez (http://www.rodcycle.com/tandem.html) has been building custom tandems in the Seattle area for a long time. Don't hear too much about them lately.
