Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - kinfolk custom

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I was just wondering.. who here can tell me about Kinfolk's custom frames. Has anyone ever ride one? I was thinking of building another fixed. The kinfolk frames definitely looks awesome.

I tried searching in the forums and turned out with nothing. If this has been posted, I apologize. Please direct me to the appropriate link.

Looks nice...BUT....
Another option for that type of a frame is to get a custom Panasonic track frame. Those are built to spec and are really cool. Cheaper than those kinfolk frames. Also, Panasonic isn't "Keirin inspired" it is Keirin, NJS certified and everything (not that it really matters). More paint colors to choose from. I would get the panasonic based on the price alone

There are 50+ builders in the US who are more experienced and charge less for custom frames.
the panasonics does look like a nice option. Will look into that too.

Kinfolk is handmade by one man, Kukasa, who has been building bicycles for Keirin riders his whole life. If you know builders more experienced than this man and charge for less, please send me their info. I would like to have a look too :)

Now I found someone locally who is selling the Leader Handmade Track frame for $650. Can someone help? Should I get that Leader for $650? or the NJS Panasonic for about a grand.
Never owned a Leader, how are their frames?
New Panasonic frames are cr@p.

there's no way i could list 50, and i certainly couldn't that are more experienced and cost LESS, but there are a good number of builders in the US who are just as experienced and charge a very similar rate. Bilenky, Igleheart, and Ted Wojcik come to mind.
why was this dead thread resurrected? lol.
anyway, I still think kinfolks "look" hot. It is a little overpriced, but i'm not thinking of getting one no more. Okay, close thread :)

You're an idiot. Aren't you the same person who posts a bunch of bikes that don't belong to you in your sig?

Idiot huh? They are cr@p. I've owned a vintage Panasonic (stolen), as well as a new POS Panasonic. The new one felt like a Walmart version of the one I had, it was a huge disappointment. Paint practically fell off of it. For what it costed I could have saved up a few more $$ and bought a much finer frame. Regardless, old or new, Panasonic frames certainly do not come close to comparing to Kinfolk frames in quality, mainly because they are machine made. Sorry if your offended. If I come across another vintage one I would probably buy it. Anyway, your white Panasonic looks identical to the one I sold.
As far as the other comment.. ?. Those are all my bikes... past & present. My velospace user name is pappy. I have a kalavinka now that i have yet to photograph.
