It appears that Sheldon Brown's Bianchi BaSS has been placed up for sale.

I'm not the person selling it. I only happened to notice it while I was browsing ebay for used bikes today, and thought it might be of some interest to people on these forums.

Why does this make me sad? I mean, the bike could end up with someone who will really appreciate the history and love of bikes that Sheldon had. That would be a good thing. I guess it's just the possibility of someone getting the top bid and then chaining it up to a bike rack to let the elements and scavengers slowly eat away at the bike.
