Today's finish was up an incline. They were doing around 30mph. Heart rates were less than 160 bpm. :wtf: Going down a hill doing 30, my heart rate is higher than that. :P Is it just conditioning or is there something inherently awesome about these guys that I'll never have?

Without it you will never be competitive with the pros.

True but it also has to do with adaptation. Anyone can achiever higher speeds and lessen their bpm with a given work load over time if they condition themselves. But I agree that at the pro level, genetics is largely the factor. Kind of like the NBA, not everyone is born over 6 foot and therefore have a less chance to compete at that high of a level. Just be awesome through your own eyes.
