I am very new to this sport. In fact all I will be doing is riding on trails and go off the occasional 2ft. jump or ledge. I am 6'5 and weigh about 250 lbs. Is this a good bike for a big boy like me? :p

Look at the specialized range, and maybe the Kona Hoss? They're built for big guys :)

You'll destroy the 4500, sad to say. Its not a very strong build to begin with... you definately need to look at something with a QUALITY front fork vs. the RST Craptastic's that you find in the $350 range... I would wait, save a bit more, and look at a Specialized Hardrock with the Marzocchi fork, and then think about getting heavy springs put in right off the bat so you aren't bottoming it out. The Hardrocks are a stronger bike to begin with too.

A 4500 will do you fine. Remember, you're asking on a very specialized forum.
