I'd love to collect that beverage, but I'm not riding RAGBRAI this year. I spent my summer cycling vacation in Colorado.

Have a blast and make sure you use a cornfield as an outhouse somewhere along the way.

I'm currently in Moline and would love to do the ride. Except I would rather do the entire thing in 2 days. I can't spend a week for such a thing. How far is it this year?

Don't want to threadjack too much here, so check out this thread: link (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=551078). It's some of the Bicycle Tour of Colorado fun we had back in June. Grand Mesa, Cottonwood Pass, Independence Pass. Totally amazing.

I did the southern route solo 2 years ago. The first 100 miles were very hilly. 360 miles total. It took me 3 1/2 days. 3 centuries and a east ride from Iowa City to the QC.

I did the first day of RAGBRAI. I had my Jamis all ready to go and when doing final checks, I messed up a valve on the rear tire and decided to scratch it in favor of the Felt. I realized in Council Bluffs that the Felt did not have any water bottle cages and I neglected to bring my frame pump too. I had a trek seat post bag which had a strap underneath for a cell phone but was able to stretch and hold a water bottle. When I arrived in Mineola, I saw there were bike repair tents and someone had a new Bontrager cage for $6 and I was relieved.

The ride itself was great and the 52 miles went by so quickly.
