This is kind of like watching American Chopper on Discovery Channel...but without the arguing.

Sorebutt - I'll keep my eyeballs peeled for you along Foothill, PV, Woodside, etc. I haven't seen many Eisentraut's on the road around here. If I see someone on a new 'Traut, I'll figure it's you.

Thanks! :) it will be hard to miss.. the bike is going to be solid yellow (Tonka truck yellow), with black Esentraut decals and Campy wheels.... and for the first 2-3 weeks it will be very clean and shiny..:)

I would never ride a bike I built my self.. :) The bike is built by Albert Eisentraut, the guy builds bikes for over 30 years..

I don't usually like lugs, but this is nice and clean. Rock.

Awesome macheen, Sorebutt. You have good taste in bikes, that's a nice luggie.

I'm suprised you didnt get the lugs masked off in another colour, although if you went to Joe Bell, a solid colour is probably the only option that doesn't involve mortgaging the house *laugh*

Take some Yoga classes and turn the stem over :)
Nice bike! BTW, is there a technical benefit for having
the seat stays be part of the seat binder?

Just got back from a quick ride.. too hot to ride now anyways,,
the bike is so amazing.. it just disappears from under you.. it became a part of me in a few minutes. And this is without tweaking the seat or stem.. it is so comfortable, so responsive.. Daiem!! :D
This is my first Campy bike, and I get a bit confused with the shifting, but I will get use to it even if it takes me 1000 miles! :)

I compared its weight to my Giant OCR 1, and this one feels 2+lb lighter...

Tomorrow I will take good quality pictures (while it is clean and scratch free), and post them..

I have such a big smile, my face hurts! :)

Not sure what size it is, but it is longer then taller, and the hight is made up with a seat post and the stem. He (the builder) says it will make the bike ride the way I like it.. Interviewed me a few time to figure out what I don't/like about my current bike, ride with me, rode on my old bike and then sent me home and I had no say in the sizign..:) BTW, I'm 5'11"

the builder will make me two more stems one I figure out the right angle and length.. I may get an cheepo adjustable stem and play with it until I find the right dimensions.. first impression: Perfect.. but I will know better after a 60 miles ride..:)

Yes...take the rise out of that stem..or put mountain bike bars on it and call it a hybrid. That's a very nice bike. I have always liked the lugs...and yellow and black are my favorite colors on a bike.

Someone mentioned Joe Bell's name up there. Man that guy is the best. I saw an old Eddy Merckx frame that he restored and painted and it was just beautiful. It looked showroom new.....and the paint was the best I've ever seen. I have always wanted to send an old frame off to Joe Bell. Maybe one day! I have an old steel Ciocc that would be a good candidate. Now I'm too busy riding my nude carbon Giant TCR.

15-20 miles... :)
tomorrow I'm taking it for a short one to get everything to fit: seat fore/aft
, hight, Handlebar, etc. probably go up to Mt Eden and back.
Friday I'm riding the loop to OLH and back. 55 miles, and it'll be a good test for everything..
