I talked to a guy who hit a bicyclist back in '96. I asked him how fast he was driving when he hit the bike and he says, "35mph". I asked him if he was braking when he hit the bike and he told me he didn't remember because it was so long ago.

Would most drivers forget a detail like that?

I hit a few cyclists myself in the 90's and can't remember if I was braking at the time. I barely remember where I buried the bodies.

Well, I will confess to not having a very good memory for deals.

Memory, about anything, is pretty malleable.

A bad experience thirteen years ago? I'm not surprised that someone would want to put that out of their mind.

Can't speak for most, but I could easily forget some details and would not attest to the accuracy of any memories of the event.

It's also a nice way to say bug off after realizing the questions would keep coming

Back in 1996 you had an important day, a meaningful day, a day you won't forget. Maybe it was a birthday, a job offer, a first kiss. A day that you'll never forget for the rest of your life.

What color shirt were you wearing?

If it were that memorable an event I'm thinking clothing was optional... :innocent:

Blue. Button down. Oxford cloth. Unless my wife made me wear something else that day.

Yesterday was quite memorable. I gave my mom a wagon and a rose that I made in a metal sculpting class, both of which she loves. A friend also invited me to his house, made a cake, we had ice cream, decorated his house with "congratulations!" signs, gave me a card telling me how much he valued our friendship, and topped it off by inviting my bestest cousin/sister-from-another-mister. We were celebrating the end of metal sculpting class, which was wearing greatly on my wallet and nerves. Such a great friend, going through all that for something so small. *sigh*
