I posted it on the SS/FG forum too without much response. Since the frames that I'm looking at are all track frames I thought to try my luck here. Please help me decide between the 3 frames.

1. Leader Handmade Track Frame (http://www.leaderbikestore.com/pd-ld-hmt-2009-track-frame.cfm) - some is selling locally in my area for $650

2. Panasonic NJS frame - it's on ebay for almost $1000

3. Kinfolk Custom (http://www.wegotways.com/kinfolkbicycles/) - for around $1300. But handmade to size.

I know the price doubled for the options.. I guess price is not really the issue but more of "if it's worth the price."

Well, I don't have any personal experience with any of them, but they all appear to be strictly for track use. The fork on the Panasonic is not even drilled for a front brake. If you intended to ride it on the road, I would not recommend it, but it's a free country.

are you planning on racing it on the velodrome? or just riding around on the street?

Mainly for street / road uses.

Considering this would be for street use, I would go with a frame that you wouldn't mind getting beat up and used hard. But on the other hand, if you can afford a custom sized frame And not worry about it getting beat up, more power to you.

My friend is one of the guys at Kinfolk.
They are nice, but a little pricey.

Panasonics can be had for much less, even new custom ordered, but you really need to be here in Japan.

Are you actually going to be riding on the track? If not, get a bikesdirect bike. I am sure you won't notice a difference. Except that you have 3 times the cash in your wallet. They have some nice new bikes out now!
