I can accept Al Trautwig being gone....

It's nice to have Armstrong back, but I was ok when he was gone.

It's not ok that Kirsten is gone.

Kirsten was the Tour de France

But did 5 out of 6 statisticians review this data to ensure that 5 out of 6 dentists recommend Dentyne if you like gum? That's what *I* want to know!!!!

yes indeed, and she's wonderful but the point is the VS coverage (old OLN) just isn't the same without Kirsten.

The woman used to flirt with Bob Roll for goodness sake,... gave hope to all of us.

Stacey was an amazing woman who served as a moderator here for quite a while. She was a character who spoke her mind and you always knew where you stood with Stacey. She was not afraid to ruffle feathers but was not cruel or mean spirited.

She lost her battle with leukemia, but she never lost her spirit or her amazing wit, intelligence and sense of humor.

And she had some cool pet rats.

I was watching the iron men of the tour turn the pedals in anger as the road wound up the mountain like so much string discarded by the Devil himself.

this chap (http://teamtwowheel.blogspot.com/2009/04/versus-cycling-commentary-part-two.html) said it well,..

"Oh Kirsten Gum, we hardly knew you. Oh sure, we knew about your days doing NASCAR commentary which were ended by an inadvisable DUI in the early morning hours before you were due trackside, but did we really get a chance to know the real you? Maybe we did, but when the internets were going crazy calling for your head and drumming you off of OLN, we had NO IDEA what a load of buffoons were going to come along to replace you. Would anyone in their right mind really trade Kirsten Gum in for Al Trautwig?

There is a saying that you can't really appreciate what you had until it's gone, and with Kirsten, it's true. Yeah, she needed to keep learning and she needed to keep quiet and let the Phil and Paul show go, but in hindsight, she was SO MUCH BETTER than most of those that came afterward that I have been missing her more and more. And just to be clear, it's not all about the boob job. I would be glad to have her back regardless of the size of her chest. But that's just the kind of guy I am.

So I guess Kirsten is off doing some other shows, at least one featuring deep sea treasure hunting, but if I have to pick between Craig Hummer in his speedo or Kirsten Gum on the beach, it's no contest."

See? You proved my point. Phil and Paul are great, but just like it is nice to have some variety with Bob at night, Kirsten was needed,.........

I enjoyed watching her flirt with Tyler Hamilton.

She had a nice segment for the non-tifosi. Bubbly personality, game to put herself in new situations. Certainly not someone to engender malice. Only discovered OLN in 2004, so I can't help farther back than that.

p.s. You might want to check the definition of pahoehoe.
