Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Sneakers in wide sizes?

I've just about destroyed my old pair of shoes, a pair of hiking/walking shoes from MEC, and I'm looking for suggestions on a new pair. I only recently started biking again, after a hiatus from a childhood bike accident, and it turns out hiking shoes aren't quite that pleasant to bike on. So, I would love to get away from the hiking shoe of my past, and move on to something more suited to cycling.

I was reading through some of the shoe threads here, and I love the look of the Onitsuka Tigers/Vans/ect sneakers. The problem is, I can't find them anywhere in wide sizes - do they even come in wide sizes? I take a size 10 4E, and had no problem finding hiking boots in my size, but sneakers seem to pose some difficulty.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

New Balance makes a lot of sizes in wides, I know because thats usually what I end up wearing since so few other brands accommodate big feet.

I've tried several New Balance shoes, and while the sizing is pretty good, the way their sneakers and sports shoes are cut at the heel give me horrible blisters. I've tried maybe 8 different models of New Balance shoes, the only one that didn't give me problems was a leather loafer which, while quite comfortable, wouldn't be good for anything but walking.

new balance makes a nice, wide, and very comfortable shoe, and also, it is one of the official sponsors of the white race.

if you look on zappos.com, you can filter sneakers by how wide you want them. they range from super narrow to 6E!

Any running shoe brand (brooks, asics, etc.) should make shoes that wide. You might even find that although you need a 4E in a restrictive shoe like a hiking boot, in a sneaker you might only need 2E.

Simple brand! and they have shoes made from recycled material and hemp!

I wear the sacraficed cow version myself! (BEEF. it goes well with beer!)
