Ive had these rods for many years and never really used them, what appears to be rust is actually patina and dust, (and a little dirty) can anyone tell me if they're worth holding on to or not?

That was my orig intension, my brother does a lot of fishing and invited me to go with, but I quickly found that its not for me, so my question remains unanswered. :(

No idea, but that cane rod might be worth a few $$$.

Campagnolo rods are uber rare, and much nicer than Shimano. I'm not old school enough to know about those relics you have though. CF rods rule. :innocent:
One of those is made of bamboo.
These guys may be able to help you: http://www.ricksrods.com/
The bamboo rod with the reversible guides might have some collectibility. The other has nice hand wrapping over the guides but that was pretty common back in the day. The reels look to be older Penns. There's an eBay market for those.

If you don't plan on fishing, then no. Sell/give them to someone who will use them.
I'm kinda hoping to give them to future grand children if they are nice rods, as I mentioned, fishing isn't my thing, and both my daughters don't really like to fish, so I figure they are 25 and 21 so one of them just may make me a grandfather some day soon, so I figure one of the "grandfatherly" things to do would be to take the grand kids fishing, and if I'm going to do that I figure why not do it with some fancy smancy vintage rods that may be worth something to them should they decide that fishing is not their thing. . :thumb:
