Anyone here use AutoCAD 2009?

I have a job interview and the company will test me on drawing a simple object, either mechanical or electrical. I have used Autocad 2006, however, I'm not sure how different it is with 2009.

Would be nice if there was someplace I could practice with it.

We stuck with 2007. The new menus are all f**ked up.

Doesn't auto-cad operate itself?

*confused*

Side question: Does auto-cad still speak lisp?

Ribbons suck. We went from 06 to 08, this fall we're probably going to '10... :(
OP: if your a typer, nothing's changed. I don't think typing has much changed since R10 or so :D . If you use toolbars or menus, stuff moved. I know you can download a demo, its a couple gigs of fairly slow downloading...
In Revit 2010, they went to ribbons, but the trade off is the 64-bit version is a true 64-bit, not the 32-bit that uses more memory like in 09, so were probably going to that at the same time as ACAD.

2008 is where it should have stopped. 2009 had many, many memory issues. 2010 isn't much better actually. I work with tons of aerial photography and contouring. 2009 and 2010 will just shut down without warnings. I find myself going back to 2008 to print and work with larger drawings.

is autocad some kind of software for generating worthless mindless posts by pcad?

I use Solidworks as a modeler. AutoCAD lost it sometime ago.
