Southern California - So what do you do with bike...uhhh....stuff?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Went into an LBS today. Talked with the dude for a bit then he ended up giving me some bike stuff. A couple of posters, both the same, two sided of the TOC 2009. Looks like the Garmin team. Uhhh, what do I do with them? I don't hang stuff in my bike room. I don't care for cluttered walls.
Plus, what do you do with the stuff from bike rides? I've got like 3 or 4 BigBear patches, Amtrak patch, a Tour De Tucson handkerchief.....
DO I sew the patches on a jersey to display. ON a baseball cap, on a letterman's jacket? DO I blow my nose with the hankychief?:p
I don't know but when u figure it out I'll send u my posters i collected from last years interbike.

I'll take any posters you want to send, especially of big tours etc. I love those old classic posters and wouldn't mind hanging some of those with the pinerelo print I was given by an old friend.
I've seen patches sewn on camel backs and panniers and displayed in cases. I might still have my old soccer tourney patches floating around somewhere, I've not done anything with those and they're easily 25 yo.

Did you get those from Competitive Edge? I was out there a few months ago and they were on the table. I came out from LA to find some Celeste handlebar tape. They had a whole pile of them.

Use those patches on your luggage somehow. When you go to the airport baggage claim, you want to have your baggage stand out, be distinctive.

Yup! The one in Rancho on Haven. Mark Hebert is my buddy. Going for a ride on Wednesday morning. The guy is the best mechanic I've met in 12 years. I just stopped in to say "Yello" and pick up some tubes.:D

I prefer freebies from the liquor store, posters in particular. :D

I must be the only rude one who would say, "Thank you but I really don't have space for these items".
Now, the person who suggested putting those patches on luggage is smart! Get enough patches and you'll look well traveled :)
If you have teacher friends, donate the posters to them to either A) decorate their room or B) use as book covers
