Hi: I have read the posts on the differences between AL 6061 and AL 7005, but I did not see anything about mixing the two. I am having trouble finding the tubing I want in 6061 for the CS, SS, and ST. For the DT and TT I have already found some 6061 tubes I want to use. I have been buying from Nova Cycles.
Im not an experienced welder, someone else will help me weld it all together. Can these two materials be mixed? Also, what is involved to heat treat a 6061 frame? I will likely send it to get heat treated after welding.
