I saw him a few days ago, and as far as I know, Versus gets their feed from French T.V. so they can't really control what comes up.

Ah, it was the French all along!

I've seen him, just not prominently. I saw the Longhorn fanatic yesterday too, but they kept him in the background.

They're saving him for the mountain stages.

There was an article I read... somewhere, stating that he has been going to every tour since ?'69? and that he is not allowed to get close to the finish because the tour organizers will not let him. It was also interesting to read that he is sponsored, by a auto parts manufacturer, which allows him to all the travel. I thought that was kind of funny.

I wonder if the Longhorn guy will have that kind of staying power?

Maybe he's gained some weight and is a bit less than photogenic now in his skin tight suit. Some things should just not be viewed by the general public.

He might getting a little old to be chasing the riders now.

I saw him at the World's in Varese last September (that's not me, just some random lady). He looked the same. Probably smelled the same too, but I didn't get that close. Still wouldn't call him photogenic, exactly!

LOL, my 8yo daughter keeps asking where the devil is when we watch the Tour. I'll have to show her this thread.

Hasn't he posted on BF before?

I am sure he's there. I saw him on one of the promo commercials. Maybe, he's just getting a bit too old to stay out all day waiting for the race to come by.

I went to see the Tour in 2004. One day, after a stage, I was driving down the road when I saw the top of that big bike the Devil sometimes rides, poking up over the top of the hedge. I hit the brakes, turned in to the first driveway I saw (which I think may have been an exit), and ended up getting some pictures. He was in the driver's seat and ready to leave, but he still obliged. He actually has a mini pitch fork, used when leaning out of the car window. (not my picture below)

I saw him briefly on stage 12 for just a couple of seconds.
